Rising Damp

Rising Damp is the action of water absorbing up from the ground within brickwork and becoming evident on the face of the walls as moisture. The most common evidence of rising damp is paintwork constantly peeling and blistering within the home.

Water Proofing

BRW specializes in the waterproofing of balconies, basements, bathrooms and planter boxes. We carry out waterproofing to new properties as well as specialising in the repairs of old and failing membranes. Our services include diagnosis of the water leak, complete removal of old and faulty tiles and membrane, re-water proofing and re-laying of tiles.

Passive Ventilation

We are approved resellers of Aletta Sub Floor vents. These vents provide an exceptional improvement in air flow when compared to the original clay vents. Installed correctly they can improve air flow by up to 10%. They assist in the prevention of Mould Growth / Timber Decay and musty smells / Cupping of floor boards.

Fan Forced Ventilation

We use a range of fans including Vortice and Mixflow. These systems are designed specifically to suit any size and shape of subfloor space. These fans are ducted to the outside of the building and set on timers to maximise energy consumption.

Concrete Spalling

This is a major problem within alot of Sydney Coastal properties. It occurs when the reinforcing steel within a concrete slab is exposed to a number of contaminants such as water, carbon dioxide, chloride ( high in Magnesite ) .The steel then rusts and causes the concrete to expand and crack causing significant damage to property if not repaired once noticed.
