Where an existing damp course is missing or has failed, a correctly specified chemical-injection system may be used to control rising ground moisture. Preparation, injection layout and compatible reinstatement all matter to the outcome.
Removing damaging salts with Cocoon
Westox Cocoon is a poultice made from high-porosity filter material. It is applied to contaminated masonry so soluble salts are drawn into the material as it dries, then removed with the spent poultice.
Specify the system after inspection
The treatment depends on the wall construction, moisture source, salt loading and condition of existing finishes. BRW inspects the building before recommending a damp-course, Cocoon treatment or coordinated combination.
